WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College women's lacrosse team fell to Saint Joseph's College (Maine), 26-4, in a non-conference matchup on Monday night at Bernatchez Field.
The Monks snap a two-game skid, improving to 7-2 while the Terriers drop to 0-5.
Saint Joseph's offense was strong throughout the contest, outscoring Thomas 14-2 in the first half, and 12-2 in the second half to take the 26-4 win.
Elyse Caiazzo led the Monks with six goals and two assists on seven shots while finishing with ten draw controls. Kayla Kelly, Madison Beaulieu, and Kara Kelly each finished with four goals and combined for eight assists. Samantha Medlin picked up a team-high five ground balls along with a pair of markers.
Darrian Leonardi (Thomaston, Maine), Jordan Turner (Casco, Maine), Amira Jones (Chicopee, Mass.), and Nikki Bradstreet (Tospham, Maine) each recorded a goal in the effort for the Terriers.
Kaylin Mansir was given the win in goal for the Monks stopping one shot, while Sydni Collier (Oakland, Maine) made eight stops for Thomas.
The Terriers will play at home again on Wednesday as they face the University of Maine at Farmington.
