WATERVILLE, Maine – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has released its academic honors for the 2017 season and the Terriers' program was well represented.
National Academic Team Award
The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum team grade-point average of 3.0 during the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year. Castleton, University of Maine at Farmington, Husson, New England College, and Thomas were among only 133 Division III institutions that received the national award.

17 Student-Athletes Named to National Academic Squad
Seventeen Thomas student-athletes were named to the 2017 ZAG Field Hockey / NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year. The following Terriers received the award: Miriah Chapman, Kelci Faulkingham, Miranda Gagne, Allie Gregoire, Angela Guy, Sidney Hurst, Leah Kruse, Lauren Lambert, Samantha Mercier, Lindsay Morong, MacKenzie Oberholzer, Krysta Porter, Caitlyn Poulin, Katie Taylor, Megan Tribuzio, Katherine Welch, and Emily Wilcox.

Four Honored as NFCHA Scholar of Distinction
Gregoire, Oberholzer, Taylor, and Wilcox were among only 242 Division III student-athletes that received the award. The DIII Scholars of Distinction recognizes those student-athletes that achieved a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.90 or higher during the first semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
