Rockland Public Library Poetry Workshop with Carol Bachofner

Tuesday, April 24th at 6:00 PM  Poetry Workshop: Writing Without Fear, with Carol Bachofner
Rockland, Maine - This interactive writing workshop given by former Rockland Poet Laureate Carol Bachofner, will feature handy tips and sizzling strategies to help you write with confidence. There is no limit to how you can use the prompts and tips in poetry, fiction, essays, memoir, etc. We will do a few writing exercises and you will leave with a notebook of ideas and strategies.

Come ready to practice. Bring a notebook and pencil or pen.  Participants will leave with a handout that will make writing at home easier.  Something for everyone! Beginners and seasoned writers are welcome! Light refreshments will be served. Bachofner’s books will be available to be signed.

Carol Willette Bachofner, award-winning poet, watercolorist, and photographer, has published five books of poetry, most recently The Boyfriend Project (2017). Her poems have appeared in journal such as Priairie Schooner, The Comstock Review, Connecticut Review, Cream City Review, Crab Orchard Review, and many others. the anthology, Dawnland Voices, an Anthology of Writings from Indigenous New England (2014). She won the Maine Postmark Contest 2017 for her poem, Passagassawaukeag. published in The Maine Review. Her latest book, Test Pattern, a fantod of prose poems, will be relased in May of 2018 by Finishing Line Press.

Bachofner’s photo, Rigged, received Honorable Mention in the Spirit of Place contest by Maine Media workshop in 2013 and is printed in the contest anthology.
