Bowdoin's Women's Tennis Completes Western Swing With Second-Straight Shutout Win

EDLANDS, Calif. - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team posted its second straight shutout in a 9-0 blanking of the University of Redlands on Tuesday afternoon.

The Polar Bears close out their spring trip to California with a 6-1 overall record.

Match Highlights

• Bowdoin amassed a 3-0 lead in doubles play with a trio of solid wins. Kyra Silitch/Tess Trinka and Maddie Rolph/Pilar Giffenig took 8-3 victories at number two and three, respectively, before Joulia Likhanskaia/Tiffany Cheng earned an 8-5 win at number one
• The Polar Bears cruised to six singles wins, including five straight-set victories
• Cheng (6-1, 6-1), Silitch (6-1, 6-2) and Sarah Shadowens (6-2, 6-2) highlighted the Polar Bear winners with convincing sweeps
