The Polar Bears improve to 3-3 and are ranked 18th in the latest IWLCA Division III poll. The Gulls fall to 1-6 on the season with the loss.
Game Highlights
- Bowdoin left little doubt to the eventual outcome, scoring five goals in the first 12 minutes and grabbing a 7-1 halftime advantage
- Emma Beecher netted three first-half goals while Megan O'Connor had a pair
- Endicott trimmed the lead to 8-3 early in the second period, but Bowdoin quickly put the game away with a four-goal spurt in a span of 3:43 to push the lead to 12-3 with 16 minutes to go
- Bowdoin won 15 of 21 draw controls and held a 36-10 advantage in shots
- The Polar Bears forced 18 Gull turnovers in the game
- Beecher led all players with four goals and two assists
- O'Connor finished with three goals while Lindsay Picard had three assists and four draw controls
- Goaltenders Kayli Weiss (one save, one goal allowed) and Erin Morrissey (four saves, four goals allowed) each played a half for Bowdoin
- Maura Grady made 17 stops for Endicott in the loss
- Bowdoin will travel to Middlebury on Saturday for an important NESCAC contest. Face-off is scheduled for noon
