UMF Field Hockey has Six Selected to NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

FARMINGTON, Maine – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) selected six University of Maine at Farmington field hockey team student-athletes to the 2015 ZAG Field Hockey / NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction on Wednesday.

The six Beavers include -- Lee-Anne Greenleaf (Gardiner, Maine/Gardiner); Emily Lewia (Wells, Maine/Wells); Emma Martineau (Greene, Maine/Leavitt); Torrie Nightingale (Bangor, Maine/Bangor); Patty Smith (Gorham, Maine/Gorham); and Andrea Stemm (Gorham, Maine/Gorham).

These six student-athletes also made the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad and UMF was honored as a NFHCA National Academic Team.

The Scholars of Distinction are student-athletes who achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year.
