Rockland, Maine - During the weekend of Friday, March 18th through Sunday, March 20th, 2016 Rockland Harbor YMCA hosted the annual Rockland Community Center Boys Fifth, Sixth Grade Basketball Invitational Tournament in Rockland, Maine.
Eight teams took part in this annual boys basketball event from MT. View, Vinalhaven, Georges River Buccaneers, Five Town (White), Westbrook, Oak Hill Raiders, Five Town (Red) and Medomak Valley Panthers where they fought to win the event.
The following are recaps from the games on who were able to score for their teams.
On Friday night Georges River Buccaneers played Five Town (White) and Medomak Valley Panthers taking on MT. View.
for Georges River Buccaneers were Gavin Young 4pts, Liam O'Neal 9pts, Parker Hilchey 6pts, Brady Marchessault 2pts, Hayden Jacques 4pts, Alex Bartlett 5pts, Jason Leclerc 2pts, Jacob Uyttewaal 2pts, Zeke Miller 2pts and Alex Collins 6pts.

Second game Friday night was Medomak Valley Panthers playing MT. View. MT. View won the game by a score of 36-23. MT. View scorers were Tyler Russell 6pts, Brennen Wade 4pts, Draed Furrow 18pts, Declan Knowlton 2pts, Hannah Coolen 4pts and Caleb Brown 2pts.
Medomak Valley Panthers scorers were Jake Bickmore 6pts, Trevor Brown 10pts, Addison Mellor 3pts, Issak Hynd 2pts and Noah Ludwig 2pts.
On Saturday RCN America Network covered 5 out of 8 games.
First game played Saturday saw Oak Hill taking on Five Town (Red). Oak Hill won 26-24. Scorers for Oak Hill were Latrell Williams 2pts, Caden Thompson 16pts, Jackson Arbour 4pts and D'Andre Daniels with 4pts.
Five Town (Red) scorers were Eben Fagonde 3pts, Caleb Sabanty 7pts, Lucas Moody 6pts, Ryan Clifford 4pts and Adrian Pierce 4pts.
Second game Saturday Westbrook won against Vinalhaven by a score of 42-10. Westbrook scorers were Jason Shackley 4pts, Garen Wright 2pts, Quincy Seavey 8pts, Micah Lombardo 8pts, Alex Bean 2pts, Carter Dow 11pts, Carson Dow 2pts and Ben Eugley 5pts.
Scorers for Vinalhaven were Sam Wentworth 3pts, Colby Beverage 3pts, Martin Dunn 2pts and Connor Lazaro 2pts.
In the third game Saturday Medomak Valley Panthers won against Five Town (White) by a score of 42-10. Scorers for Medomak Valley Panthers were Trevor Brown 16pts, Garret Hutchins 2pts, Ryan Jarvis 6pts, Kevin Sincyr 6pts, Jaiden Starr 2pts, Blake Morrison 2pts, Will Cheesman 2pts and Wyatt Simmons 6pts.
Five Town (White) scorers were Zachary Strout 9pts and Jordan Peasley with 1pt.
Fourth game Saturday MT. View won against Georges River Buccaneers by a score of 41-15. MT. View scorers were Travis Spaulding 3pts, Caleb Brown 6pts, Hannah Coolen 3pts, Jeremiah Ponder 2pts, Declan Knowlton 6pts, Hunter Penney 2pts, Draed Furrow 9pts, Brennen Wade 2pts and Tyler Russell 8pts.
Scorers for Georges River Buccaneers were Gavin Young 3pts, Liam O'Neal 2pts, Hayden Jacques 8pts and Jacob Uyttewaal with 2pts.
Final game we covered Saturday saw Five Town (Red) win against Vinalhaven by a score of 50-18. Five Town (Red) scorers were Adrian Pierce 6pts, Caleb Sabanty 2pts, Avery Laite 8pts, Lucas Moody 12pts, Eben Fagonde 4pts, Cas Lavoie 10pts and Jason Seeber with 8pts.
Scorers for Vinalhaven were Robbie Swears 6pts, Colby Beverage 4pts, Martin Dunn 2pts and Connor Lazaro with 6pts.
Sunday, the final day saw four games played.
First game played saw MT View win against Westbrook by a score of 47-35. Scorers from MT View were Tyler Russell 2pts, Brennen Wade 5pts, Draed Furrow 22pts, Declan Knowlton 6pts, Hannah Coolen 8pts and Caleb Brown 4pts.
Westbrook scorers were Ben Eugley 1pt, Carter Dow 12pts, Alex Bean 2pts, Micah Lombardo 4pts, Quincy Seavey 24pts and Garen Wright with 2pts.
Second game played on Sunday saw Medomak Valley Panthers win against Five Town (Red) by a score of 35-23. Medomak Valley Panthers scorers were Will Cheesman 2pts, Blake Morrison 2pts, Kevin Sincyr 6pts, Garret Hutchins 2pts, Addison Mellor 5pts and Trevor Brown with 17pts.
Scorers for Five Town (Red) were Eben Fagonde 4pts, Caleb Sabanty 1pt, Lucas Moody 4pts, Ryan Clifford 10pts and Adrian Pierce with 4pts.
Third game played Sunday saw Westbrook win against Medomak Valley Panthers by a score of 49-48. Scorers for Westbrook were Jason Shackley 2pts, Quincy Seavey 15pts, Micah Lombardo 3pts, Carter Dow 21pts, Carson Dow 4pts and Ben Eugley with 2pts.
Medomak Valley Panthers scorers were Trevor Brown 17pts, Addison Mellor 6pts, Issak Hynd 6pts, Garret Hutchins 6pts and Kevin Sincyr with 13pts.
Fourth, final, championship game saw MT. View win against Westbrook by a score of 53-19. MT. View scorers were Tyler Russell 4pts, Brennen Wade 4pts, Draed Furrrow 15pts, Declan Knowlton 12pts, Jeremiah Ponder 2pts, Hannah Coolen 10pts, Caleb Brown 4pts and Travis Spaulding with 2pts.
Scorers for Westbrook were Quincy Seavey 6pts, Micah Lombardo 8pts, Alex Bean 2pts, Carson Dow 2pts and Ben Eugley with 1pt.
All the team taking part in this invitational tournament played great games regardless of who won or not. Congratulations to MT.View for winning the event. It was a great weekend.
