The Phantom Returns to Lincoln Theater

Damariscotta, Maine - On Thursday, September 20 at 2 PM  and  again at 7 PM, the curtain will rise at Lincoln Theater in downtown Damariscotta on  an encore broadcast of  the 25th anniversary production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh’s history-making Phantom of the Opera,  captured live in HD. With a fully-staged, lavish production, set in the sumptuous Victorian splendor of the Royal Albert Hall, the event has captivated cinema audiences around the world.  The musical played Lincoln Theater in July and is being brought back due to numerous requests.

   Phantom is Broadway’s longest running show and has been seen by over 100 million people worldwide. This special event features over 200 cast members, orchestra musicians and luminaries involved with The Phantom of the Opera over the past 25 years.

   The production is directed by Laurence Connor with musical staging and choreography based on the original London production directed by Hal Prince and choreography by Gillian Lynne.
