Fall Children’s Library Programs

Blue Hill, Maine - October is the time when two popular children’s programs start up again at the Blue Hill Public Library. The “Reader Dog” program will be back on Tuesdays, starting October 2nd at 3:10 P.M.  Bri and her sister Gracie are both registered therapy dogs who enjoy listening to children read. Children are invited to read to these canines in a relaxed and nonjudgmental environment.  This is not a drop-in program—children may sign up ahead of time with Pat at the Library.

The weekly Chess Club resumes on Friday, October 12th, 3:00 to 3:45 PM and is for children ages 7 and up and for all levels of skill.  Snacks and chess sets are provided.

The library also has several year-round programs for children, including:
·         Preschool Storytime for kids up to age 4 on Tuesdays at 10:30;
·         Play Group for babies and toddlers up to age 3 on Wednesdays at 10:30;
·         Young Writer’s Group for kids 9 to 13, every other Saturday at 12:30 PM;
·         Lego Club for kids 7 to 12 at 10:30 AM, monthly on selected Saturdays.

For more information on any of these programs, call Pat at 374-5515.
