October Events at Lithgow Public Library

Augusta, Maine - All events are free and open to the public. Please contact the library for more information: 626-2415 or www.lithgow.lib.me.us. The library is located at 45 Winthrop Street, across from the former YMCA. The library is open Monday - Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to Noon.

October 1
Rockin’ Readers 6:30-7:30p.m., Youth Services
Readers in 3rd to 6th grade and adults can take part in this fun, interactive inter-generational book discussion. Our book for October is "Pie" by Sarah Weeks. Please see Sarah for a copy of the book, and more details!

October 2
Toddler Time 10 a.m., Youth Services
Sing songs, listen to stories, and learn nursery rhymes while interacting with your child and other care providers.

Starlight Story Time 6 p.m., Youth Services
Kids ages 3-7 are invited, with a parent or caregiver, to come to the Library's Picture Book Room for late night stories. Wear your pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed animal for stories, songs, and more.

Stories, educational activities and art projects for children ages 3-5 and their care givers.

October 4
Legos at the Library 3:30 p.m., Youth Services
Join us for fun Lego building sessions with other Lego lovers! We will meet the 1st Thursday of the month, at 3:30 p.m. in Youth Services. Legos will be provided.

Enjoy stories, songs and finger plays at this story time for infants and their care givers.

The Lithgow Public Library will be closed in observance of Columbus Day.

Sing songs, listen to stories, and learn nursery rhymes while interacting with your child and other care providers.

Craft Afternoon  3:30 p.m., Youth Services
Come join us for a fun, creative afternoon of cutting, gluing, stamping, weaving, drawing, etc.! All ages welcome! Children 6 and under will need adult supervision. This program is hosted the 2nd Tuesday of the month, until June.  This month we will be making clothespin caterpillars!

Food For Thought 6 p.m., Youth Services
Children’s book discussion group for ages 3-8 to share books, recipes, food and fun! Each child and their adult partner will sign-up to choose a food related book to read together and bring the food as a snack to share with others, as well as discuss the book and/or the recipe.
