Children's Events for Poetry Month Rockland
Editor: David Mills
ROCKLAND, ME - The Poetry Month Rockland events aren’t just for adults. Children are invited to the Rockland Public Library to take part in a poetry & art workshop. On Monday, April 23 at 4 PM, the library presents a free “Monkeying Around with Poetry & Art” workshop for children in grades two through five. This hands-on and fun workshop will first teach children about poetic forms to inspire their creativity. Then children will write and illustrate their own poems based their favorite animals. On Wednesday, April 25 at 10:30 AM children and their parents will get moving at “Dancing & Prancing with Poetry” storytime. This storytime will include singing, dance and other active rhymes. For more information about these events, please call the Library at 594-0310. Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union St.
