Bookmaking at the Blue Hill Public Library Apr. 28th & May 12th

BLUE HILL, ME - Artistic bookmaker Anne-Claude Cotty will conduct a bookmaking workshop for adults and children age 8 and up at the Blue Hill Public Library on Saturday, April 28th from 9:00 to 11:30 AM. With the theme, “Vernal Pools,” this workshop will capture the sounds and shapes of life in our ponds in multi-media pop-up books. Adults are encouraged to accompany young children. A second workshop with the theme, “Gardens in Bloom,” will be offered on Saturday May 12 from 9:00 to 11:30 AM.

Anne-Claude Cotty is well known for her artists’ books and exhibits her work periodically at the Blue Hill Library, along with a group of artists who learned from her.  The exhibits are always popular and generate a lot of interest in the genre.

All ages are welcome to attend these free programs but registration is required for each session.  Participants can sign up using the events calendar at www.bhpl.net or by calling the Library at 375-5515.
