American Eagle Hauled Out April 3rd

American Eagle Hauled Out April 3rd
Editor: David Mills

ROCKLAND, ME - The North End Shipyard was alive with activity as it was time for Haul out season. John Foss's Schooner American Eagle sailing out of Rockland on sailing adventures was the first to be hauled out. Every year at this time, captains of the local Windjammers start getting ready for the upcoming sailing season. American Eagle was the very first vessel of the Maine Windjammer Association to be uncovered and hauled out for Spring outfitting and repair.

Haul out of American Eagle, a two masted Schooner took place on April 3rd, 2012 in the morning. John Foss as mentioned above is the owner/captain of the beautiful 92 foot sailing vessel, American Eagle that was built in 1930. You can learn more about American Eagle by clicking here.

Enjoy some photographs of American Eagle's haul out, the first of the season below.
