Bangor, Maine - In observance of National Assisted Living Week®, September 9 to 15, assisted living facilities affiliated with Rosscare will host a series of events developed as a special opportunity to bring together residents, families, employees, volunteers, and the surrounding community to celebrate “Art for the Ages.”
“Art for the Ages” is the theme for National Assisted Living Week ®. Art is an important part of all our lives, and during this time, assisted living communities celebrate the art our residents, families, friends, and staff have created and continue to create to enhance their own life experience and the world around them. “Art for the Ages” is an opportunity to share, enjoy, and to congratulate the mastery of art, music, sports, and the development of skill.
“Residents and staff in our assisted living facilities are excited to celebrate this year’s artistic theme,” explains Amy Cotton, nurse practitioner and EMHS director of Operations and Senior Services Quality. “Art brings out the best in people and we feel fortunate to have such talented residents, staff, and family members in our assisted living communities.”
Some of the week’s special events include:
Sylvia Ross Home and Ross Manor, Bangor – 9/14/12 – will be hosting a Gallery of the Senses day where Sylvia Ross Home with join together with Ross Manor’s Engle Place for music, arts, and a cookout for family members and residents. Sylvia Ross residents are also planning a day trip to Bar Harbor.
