Upcoming Rock City Cafe Performers Apr. 12th-14th
Editor: David Mills

ROCKLAND, ME - The following will be performing at Rock City Cafe this coming week. First performer this coming week is Bill Barnes Jazz Trio (Apr. 12th) then Gypsy Caravan (Apr. 13th) and Mehuman Trio (Apr. 14th). All those performances this coming week start at 7pm to 9pm. Rock City Cafe is located at 316 Main Street in Rockland, Maine.

Background Information:

Bill Barnes is a veteran New York session guitarist, Barnes started his musical career in the late sixties, touring with Atco Records recording artist Aurthur Conley (sweet soul music). He has since played with a stellar line up of music industry heavies. His latest album Winds of Bodhgaya is now available.Trio, duo, or solo Bill's repetoire includes gypsy jazz, classic jazz standards, sultry bossa novas, tasty ballads and cool laid back blues.

Gypsy Caravan band performs in the gypsy jazz, manouche style. We build upon the traditions of Django Reinhardt's music while getting inspiration from modern players such as Bireli Lagrene, John Jorgenson, Robin Nolan and Frank Vignola. We take a fresh look at some popular songs and are continually adding new originals.

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Mehuman Jonson is an award-winning songwriter who has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe. Playing an original mix of acoustic neo-soul and Americana, with influences of jazz, funk and gospel, Mehuman Trio (pronounced “may’-mon”) creates a sonic palette that defies a single label. Formed in September of 2008, they have already played for standing room only crowds in Belfast, Camden, Rockland and Rockport, and are in the process of recording their first album of original material.

Please stop by Rock City Cafe tonight as Alogrithm will be performing from 7pm-9pm and for some great food.
