Blue Hill, Maine - Blue Hill Public Library will hold a candidates “Q and A” on Monday, October 1st from 6:30 to 9:00 P.M., cosponsored by the Library, League of Women Voters Downeast, and One Maine, Hancock County. Candidates for Maine Senate and House races from the local area will each introduce themselves and then the moderator will take questions from the audience and give each candidate a chance to respond.
Invited guests will include: Walter Kumiega(D, incumbent) and Kim Strauss(R) for House District 38; Ralph Chapman(D, incumbent) and Sherman Hutchins(R) for House District 37; and Brian Langley(R, incumbent) and David White(D) for the Senate District.
Dr. Eckley Herrick of Blue Hill will moderate the session. Dr. Herrick is well-known in Blue Hill as the moderator of the town meeting in past years. He is professor emeritus of engineering at the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine.
The Q and A will be held downstairs in the Library’s main room. Audience members are encouraged to bring their questions! For more information contact the library at 374-5515.
