Of the 2011 tour Hallowell resident Dawn Gallagher said, "[Art at Home] goes beyond art on view at a gallery or in a museum. Art is transformed within the context of a home, and it transforms the home as well. The room itself becomes an art composition, reflecting who lives there."
The Harlow Gallery will provide ticket holders with a detailed program guide including a map, and complete information on the individual collections. Volunteer docents will be present at each site to answer questions and give directions. “Art at Home” ticket holders will be encouraged to explore Hallowell's many fine dining and shopping establishments - many Hallowell business will be offering promotional discounts to ticket holders all day long, and these will be listed in the program guide. In addition, ticket holders will be entered in a random prize drawing for one of three original pieces of artwork on the day of the event. The prize drawing will take place at a reception at Easy Street Lounge - (which is also on the Art at Home tour itself) - at 7 Front Street in Hallowell at 2:30 pm.
