9/11 Remembrance Lewiston Fire Department

Lewiston, Maine - The Lewiston Fire Department will hold a brief ceremony in remembrance of the lives lost on 9/11 at the World Trade Center; the Pentagon; and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at Central Station, 2 College Street, Lewiston. Please see the following itinerary.

Community attendance is welcome.

Moment of Silence with Bells

9:58 a.m. EDT
All available fire department personnel assemble at attention in front of the station flag pole and
firefighters memorial
9:59 a.m. EDT – Time of the South Tower Collapse
Station bell rings 5-5-5 (three sets of five chimes each).
10:00 a.m. EDT – One Minute of Complete Silence
Picture of 343 firefighters from FDNY who lost their lives will be on display in station
Fire Department chaplain recites Firefighter’s Prayer
Lewiston Fire Department members will place a wreath donated by the Lewiston Firefighters
Association
