Features Olympic Medal Favorite Gymnast Danell Leyva and Reigning Gold Medalist Hurdler Dawn Harper



Los Angeles – 2011 world parallel bars champion and reigning U.S. all-around champion Danell Leyva will be featured on Universal Sports Network's Countdown to London on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET. Leyva, who will attempt to defend his title this weekend at the 2012 Visa Championships and qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games, will be one of two featured guests on Countdown to London, a show aimed to provide news, updates and features as the world prepares for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
This week's episode will also feature The Countdown Conversation with Fred Roggin presented by Budweiser with Olympic gold medalist Dawn Harper who is looking to defend her medal in the 100m hurdles.

Hosted by Craig Hummer and Amy Bender, other top news stories will include four-time Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson's retirement announcement, as well as news from the Diamond League, headlined by Usain Bolt's world leading 100m time of 9.76 seconds in Rome. Universal Sports Network/NBC analyst and four-time Olympic medalist Ato Boldon will join the show via video chat to discuss Bolt's impressive performance.

In addition to Countdown to London, Focus on Gymnastics presented by BMW will preview men's gymnastics with Olympic gold medalist and Universal Sports Network analyst Tim Daggett joining the show to provide insight and analysis.

The show's other weekly features include Reliving the Glory presented by Panasonic with flashbacks to great moments in Olympic history with the airing of archived short films by legendary Olympic filmmaker Bud Greenspan; On the Web presented by Dow, a social media roundup of Olympic athletes and news; Inside the Research Room to check-in with the NBC Olympics production team to see what stories they are working on heading into the Games, as well as additional content including event previews, breaking news coverage and a weekly update from a journalist from London.
