The Fisher Cats put three on the board in the top of the third inning, after a one spot in the second, putting the game out of reach for the Sea Dogs. The Fisher Cats combined for five consecutive singles to begin the frame. Kevin Howard and Sean Ochinko capped that stretch by each driving in a run. Mark Sobolewski then scored the final run in the inning on a force out hit by Brad Glenn putting the Fisher Cats in front 4-1.
The Sea Dogs scored right out of the gate. Hazelbaker doubled to right field in the bottom of the first and then swiped third for his 14 stolen base of the season. Bryce Brentz followed with a sacrifice fly scoring Hazelbaker putting the Sea Dogs in front 1-0.
The Sea Dogs got back on the board in the sixth inning after the four-run 11-hit outburst by New Hampshire in the first three frames. Jackie Bradley Jr. led-off with a double (3) and came around to score on a Marquez Smith double three batters later. Bradley had another good game going 2-for-5 raising his batting average to .367. The Dogs inched a run closer in the ninth with a Matt Spring blast over the Maine Monster in left field cutting the Fisher Cats lead in half 6-3. Peter Hissey then hit a ground rule double and Dent drew a walk immediately after but the rally was cut short by Aaron Loup who struck out Zach Gentile and Bradley to earn his third save of the year.
