Belfast, Maine - The Belfast Maskers continue their twenty-fifth anniversary theatre season with USO Tribute Shows in Belfast and Searsport on July 4th. Shows feature patriotic songs from the Civil War era to present day, such as “Keep the Homefires Burning,” a popular World War I British song, and the World War II favorite, “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.” The USO Tribute shows are free and open to the public.

Belfast: Show begins at Noon, corner of Main and High Streets
Searsport: Show begins at 6:30 pm, Mosman Park (before the fireworks)

Upcoming: Maskers to Perform at the Celtic Celebration Gala Opening Dinner, July 20
The Belfast Maskers will perform music from Brigadoon and Finian’s Rainbow as well as other Celtic favorites on Friday, July 20th at the Celtic Celebration Gala Opening Dinner at the Boathouse in Belfast. The Maskers’ 25th Anniversary summer production, Brigadoon, by Lerner and Loewe, will be performed in outdoor venues (weather permitting) in Belfast and Searsport in July and August. This broadway classic song and dance spectacle runs July 26-29 at Steamboat Landing Park in Belfast (7 pm); and August 2-5 outside Union Hall (Town Hall) in Searsport (7 pm). Tickets are available by calling 338-9668 or at the venue 1 hour before performances. In Belfast, advance tickets may also be purchased at Out of the Woods (48 Main Street). About the Belfast Maskers
The Belfast Maskers are celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2012. The organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit providing quality theatre for, and with, the community since 1987. Belfast Maskers offer an internship program that draws young actors from the U.S. and abroad; run a well-attended summer camp for youngsters; and produce a season of theater fare for approximately 3,500 residents and visitors year-round.
