THIS WAY TO PLAY JULY 5 AT LITHGOW’S SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Augusta, Maine - Portland-based roots rock band This Way will bring their unique Americana sound to Lithgow Public Library’s summer concert series on Thursday, July 5 at 6:30 p.m. on the library lawn. Now in its third year, the popular concert series has an exciting line-up of Maine performers, from alternative rock to folk to roots/Americana.

Generously sponsored by the Friends of Lithgow Library, the concerts take place on Thursday evenings in the summer, and are free and open to the public.  In case of rain, This Way will perform in the Reading Room.

This Way’s line-up features lead singer/songwriter Jay Basiner on guitar; Dave Patterson on bass; vocalist Anna Patterson; Charlie Sichterman on drums, and Andrew Martelle on fiddle and mandolin. They released their album “Goodbye Forever” last summer to wide regional acclaim which led to being named Best Roots Act of 2011 by The Portland Phoenix.  More recently, the band was nominated for Best Roots/Americana/Folk Act and Best Maine Act of the Year by the 2012 New England Music Awards.

Since the release of "Goodbye Forever," the band has been on the road, performing at festivals, city parks, churches, camps, libraries, and colleges from northern Maine to Nashville.  They are currently recording their next album, which is slated for a late summer release.

"Enter young pop-folk dynamos This Way, whose latest CD, "Goodbye Forever," colors soaring radio pop with rolling-hills accordion, harmonica and mandolin," said Mike Olcott of the Portland Press Herald.
