Keep Indoor Plants Healthy Year Round‏

Camden/Rockport, Maine - Local gardener Dennis Milliken will lead a presentation on houseplant care at Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, September 25 at 12:00 noon.

Keeping houseplants is a great way to tend to plants all year long. However, even when caring for indoor plants, it is important to be able to recognize pathogens and pests.  Milliken’s talk will review common houseplant pest and disease identification, treatment, and preventative measures to keep plants healthy throughout the year.

Dennis has worked in the horticulture industry for over 40 years and is a former Merryspring board member.  He has done garden design and is a certified pesticide applicator. He currently works for Green Thumb Nursery in Rockport.

This presentation is part of the Summer Talk Series, cosponsored by Camden National Bank and Jaret & Cohn Real Estate.

Admission to the Tuesday Talks is free to Merryspring members and children, with a nominal $5 fee for non-members.

Merryspring is a member-supported, non-profit nature education center and park located at the end of Conway Road just off Rt. 1 by the Hannaford shopping plaza in Camden. For more information, call Merryspring at 236-2239.
