Tillman Crane Gallery Open Studio September 1st and 2nd
CAMDEN – August 23, 2012 -- Tillman Crane, 22 Pearl St., will demonstrate his process for making platinum photographs throughout his open studio Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 1 and 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Crane creates his distinctive photographs working one sheet of film at a time with traditionally built large-format cameras and using a 19th century printing process. The hand-coated process gives each photograph a distinctive, painterly quality and archival longevity.
The exhibit includes over 75 photographs with the majority of images new work, as well as three of Crane’s books of images.
