September Art: The Peninsula Painted

Blue Hill, Maine - From September 3rd to September 29th the Blue Hill Public Library’s Britton Gallery and Howard Room will showcase artwork created by the artists who participated so enthusiastically and generously in the Library’s Paint the Peninsula fundraiser in July. The September show is entitled, The Peninsula Painted.

For this show artists who participated in Paint the Peninsula were invited to each show a piece that is more characteristic of their usual work, created on their own studio time. Approximately 40 artists have accepted to be part of the show and will again donate a portion of their proceeds to benefit the Library.

The public is invited to an ice cream social reception for the artists on Friday September 14th, 4:30 to 6:00 PM. For more information contact the Library at 374-5515.
