As a result of the consolidation of the two school districts the class of 2012 decided to have two salutatorians and two valedictorians two represent the two schools coming together as one. In the first salutatory address Emily Bragg reminded us of the two extremes of happiness. For Charlie Brown happiness was two kinds of ice cream and we were also reminded of our constitutional right to the pursuit of happiness. She encouraged us to share our happiness with those who have helped us along the way. In conclusion she encouraged us to all go out and buy two kinds of ice cream and share one with someone who doesn't have any.
In the second salutatory address Tamra Wallace reminded the class of the importance of mistakes and the fact that they well all make many of the importance of forgiveness of others mistakes as well as ones own mistakes. Mistakes are for learning from and to give new direction.
The Valedictory address given my Emma Mason reminded all that "Hard work pays, kindness matters, life is short and remember those who have helped us..."
The final valedictory address was presented by Alexander Wallace."...The only thing I truly knew was that i didn't know anything at all." "The more I searched for security in my own life the more insecure I felt." He reminded the class that unwillingness to let chance into there lives will stunt their growth. The art of living depends on our abilities to let go and enjoy the transition, to trust and be courageous. "Sometimes the best way to get a better grip on your life is letting go."
Congratulations to the Class of 2012!
