Beth A. Kessler, RN, BC, has joined Mid Coast Hospital

BRUNSWICK, Maine—Beth A. Kessler, RN, BC, has joined Mid Coast Hospital as nurse director of its medical/surgical/pediatrics unit.

Kessler received her bachelor of science in nursing degree from Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA. She has worked as a clinical nurse for more than 15 years, most recently as director of a 30-bed medical/surgical unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA.

She is a member of the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses and the American Nurses Association.

“The nursing leadership team is excited to welcome Beth to our organization,” said Deb Macleod, VP-Nursing and Patient Care Services. “Her extensive experience and passion for nursing dove-tails perfectly with Mid Coast’s nursingphilosophy and mission.”

Kessler said the fact Mid Coast Hospital is nationally-recognized as a Magnet TM Hospital was “a major factor” in her decision to apply to Mid Coast when she and her husband decided to relocate to Maine. The recognition, given by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, is for exceptional nursing and patient care.  Mid Coast is the only community hospital in Maine to have attained the honor.
