50th Annual Windjammer Days Windjammers Kid's Tent

Boothbay Region Land Trust
Windjammers Kid's Tent

Wee mateys and young sailors alike will be delighted by the free nautical crafts and activities available at Boothbay Region Land Trust’s Kids Tent during the 50th Annual Windjammer Days in Boothbay Harbor. This year’s tent will be in action on Wednesday, June 27th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the lawn of Coastal Shipping on Boothbay House Hill Road.
For several years, volunteers under the direction of Jack Fulmer have been filling the tent with smiles and giggles and treasures to take home. Bring your children or grandchildren to the tent to participate in flag and sail making, model boat building, and book printing. Under the tutelage of the Wawenock Power and Sail Squadron, youngsters can learn how to tie rope into knots that will come in handy on the high seas. A kids tent wouldn’t be complete without some clowns and balloon sculptures, which come courtesy of Twinkles and Fumbles.
So grab your crew and sail on over Windjammer Days and the BRLT Kid’s Tent for a visit. Information about BRLT will be available, including upcoming educational events, and guides to the hiking trails and island preserves that you can visit by boat. Be sure to stop by and say ahoy!
