“Cycling Aches and Pains” is the topic of an informational session set for June 11 at Central Maine Medical Center
Lewiston, Maine - Certified athletic trainer Greg Jancaitis from Central Maine Sports Medicine will review some of the most common injuries and illnesses that cyclists encounter. He will discuss the typical causes of these injuries, how a developing problem can be identified, and how a change in cycling technique and bike fit can address these problems.
Jancaitis is a USA Cycling certified cycling coach whose clients range from racers looking to take their training to the next level to those getting into cycling for the first time. He is an avid bicycle commuter and competes in ultra-endurance mountain bike races.
The program may be of particular interest to those participating in The Dempsey Challenge in October.
“Cycling Aches and Pains” will be presented free of charge in Chairmen’s Room A on the lower level of the 12 High Street Medical Office Building, located next to CMMC in Lewiston. The presentation will begin at about 5 p.m. and last about 30 minutes.
For more information, call Greg Jancaitis at 795-8465 or email him at jancaigr@cmhc.org
