Schools: CHRHS Bands to hold Spring Concert April 10th

ROCKPORT, ME - The Camden Hills Regional H.S. Band, directed by Nancy Rowe, will hold their annual Spring Concert at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10 at the Strom Auditorium.  The concert will feature the CHRHS Concert and Jazz band.

The Concert Band will perform a variety of repertoire including “Night on Bald Mountain”, an orchestral work arranged for band and made popular by the Walt Disney animated film “Fantasia”.  The high school band will also be joined by 8th graders from Hope, Appleton & Lincolnville for the “President’s Day March”.

The CHRHS jazz band will feature senior pianist, Sam McKenna, singing an arrangement of “At Last”.  Other soloists include Stan Grunder on tenor sax, Sean Pierce on alto sax and Miles Ingraham on trumpet.   In addition, the Camden-Rockport Middle School Jazz Band will join the ensemble for “Blue & Sentimental” by Count Basie.


Admission to the concert is free.
