Rockland, ME - At City Hall on March 12th, 2012 the council members voted on a number of items including Residential parking permit program, taxi company license for Rockland Yellow Cab, Liquor & Entertainment license for 2 local restaurants, 2 Liquor licenses and more.

During the City Council's public forum time several residents in the Granite Street area voiced there concerns on Residential parking permit programs (Granite Street) One of the people speaking on the topic of Residential parking permit program was Mrs. Faber of Rockland. Some of what Mrs. Faber spoke on was how the council kept on postponing this matter, if you do just one street then you will have to do this program from Thomaston Street to Maverick Street.

Also, during the public forum Eric Pride and students with Rockland Skate Park Repair Foundation Group spoke on a fee waiver for a Rec. Center dance. The Rec. Center open house/dance will help with repairs to the skate park.

After the public forum time were reports given by the City Manager, City Attorney, other officials and city mayor.

The taxi company license for Rockland Yellow Cab was approved.

Lobsterman's Restaurant & Clan MacLaren Sandwich Shop was granted a Liquor license by a 5-0 vote.
