Arranged by the Camden Philosophical Society and co-sponsored by CMCA and the Camden Public Library
Arnold Berleant, a leading international figure in the philosophy of aesthetics, will explore what aesthetic environmental values are: The fragile beauty of a flower? The sublimity of the vista from a mountain top? A bright green stream flowing from a factory toward a bay? He will discuss both negative and positive aesthetic values and explore how they relate to the beauty we find in the arts, as well as why these experiences are important and what they can they tell us about our world.
