Portland, ME - On Thursday, the 15th of March Danu will be performing Merrill Auditorium at 7:30pm. Tickets are 32 -36 dollars for non members, members 29 32 dollars and students 10 dollars.

Hailing from historic County Waterford, Danú is one of the leading traditional Irish ensembles of the day. Called a “spirit-raising concoction” by The Irish Times, Danú’s glorious mix of ancient Celtic music and new repertoire ranges from “fierce fiddle reels to pensive ballads.” (The New York Times) For over a decade, Danú’s fine musicians on flute, tin whistle, fiddle, button accordion, bouzouki and vocals have performed around the world and recorded seven critically acclaimed albums, always leaving audiences wanting more of their music that “stirs the blood and lifts the heart.” (Review is by Irish Music Magazine).
