Business & Community Expo – New Name & More Exhibitors MAR. 14th

Business & Community Expo – New Name & More Exhibitors MAR. 14th

When the newly merged Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce began organizing this year’s Business Expo, they decided to expand the focus of the expo and renamed it the PBRCC Business and Community Expo.

Held from 2-7pm on March 14 at the Samoset this year, the result of this new focus had been to increase the number and diversity of participating businesses and non-profits and to offer attendees expanded opportunities to see some of the exciting things that are going on in our Midcoast region.

Robin McIntosh, the Chamber’s Membership Services Manager, explained, “We’re seeing a lot of excitement around this year’s Expo. We’ve added a new section for non-profits, so in addition to our many great business members who you’ll see, you’ll be able to learn more about programs at our local museums, arts organizations, animal shelters, and community programs in topics as varied as sailing, music, health, education, the environment, and more.”

There has been increased interest in the Expo From the business side  as well, and McIntosh expects the booths to sell out well before the event.  From banks and computer companies to real estate, builders, and transportation, there are companies both new and well established. “You’ll be able interview an insurance company, buy olive oil or chocolate, and talk to landscapers, painters, and roofers.” McIntosh noted.

Dan Bookham, the Chamber’s Executive Director added, “We encourage people to attend whether they are residents, business people, or both.  The exhibits are so diverse this year, we are confident that everyone will find something they are interested in or a new service they might use.”

Attendance at the Expo is open to the general public and admittance is FREE.  A Business After Hours reception, sponsored by the Samoset (cash bar) will be held from 5-7pm.

Computer Solutions of Rockland is the Expo’s lead sponsor this year.  Co-sponsors include Eastern Tire & Auto, North Atlantic Painting, Machias Savings Bank, and Philbrook & Associates Bookkeeping.  The Loft Sponsor is J&B Diversified Associates, the Media Sponsor is VillageNet Media.

We hope are those that can will be able to check out all the participating businesses at this Business & Community Expo at the Samoset on thee 14th of March in Rockport, Maine.
