NYC DANCERS PRESENT 'TWO IS YOU' AT THE DANCE HALL

Kittery, Maine- On Friday May 3rd at 8 p.m. HUMA Dance Company presents 'Two is You’ at The Dance Hall in Kittery. NYC dancers/choreographers Chelsea Ainsworth and Doron Perk, in collaboration with visual artist Kyle Netzeband, present the evening length piece which is a culmination of three years of collaborative work.

'Two is You' explores the interaction of two dancers and follows the progression and depth of their relationship. From a first encounter in the studio to multiple meetings, the piece incorporates numerous costume changes and a diverse score.

Using skillful weight sharing, frequent switches between leader and led, and intuitive reactions to each other in the moment, the result is a dynamic movement score, personal, expressive, wild, and seamlessly synchronized.

Chelsea Ainsworth is a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and one of the founders of Arts On Site: a multidiscipline arts organization in NYC that supports artists through performance based programs and community building events.

Doron Perk, based in New York City, and has danced in the Croatian National Theater in Split, Croatia; Compañía Nacional de Danza in Madrid, Spain; and Batsheva-The Young Ensemble in Tel Aviv, Israel. In 2016 he was listed in "Best performers of 2016" by Dance Magazine.
