Portland Public Library to host “The Heart of the Story: Maine’s response to HIV/AIDS”

Portland, Maine - Join Portland Public Library for a night of history and reflection regarding Maine’s response to HIV/AIDS.  The evening will be held in conjunction with the NAMES Foundation Memorial AIDS Quilt exhibit in the Library’s atrium and will feature special guest storytellers with a question & answer period held after the discussion. This promises to be an evening of history, remembrance, and celebration.

This event is made possible in part by a grant from the Maine Equity Fund of the Maine Community Foundation and by the generous support of Pride Portland, The Frannie Peabody Center, SAGE Maine, The Jean Byers Sampson Center for Diversity in Maine at USM, The Names Project Northern New England Chapter, and Pride@PPL.
