Sharlene E. Abbott

Sharlene E. Abbott born and raised in Rockland, Sharlene graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration specializing in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. For almost 20 years, Sharlene lived around the country while pursuing her career in hotel management until
she and her family returned to Maine in 1995 where she worked at the Grand Summit Hotel at Sugarloaf/USA. Most recently, Sharlene has been associated with Gorham Savings Bank, a community bank in the greater Portland, Maine area, where she leads the Executive Administration Department and is the Clerk of the Corporation. Never far from her roots of convention services, Sharlene is also in charge of event planning at the Bank.
    Sharlene is married to Dick Schwalbenberg and lives in the Fryeburg, Maine area. Sharlene and Dick have three grown children; Meghan, an hotelier in Chicago; Andrew, an officer in the Coast Guard; and Marc, a financial analyst in Denver. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering for the United Way, the American Cancer Society, and the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital Color Run.

Lisa Burgess

Lisa Burgess is President of Rankin's Incorporated. She is the third of four generations of this family owned and operated retail hardware and buildings supplies store located in Camden and Hope. She is currently serving as secretary of the Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine, and has served on the Board of the Mid-Coast Builders Alliance.

Allen Fernald

Allen Fernald is Chairman of Down East Enterprise, Inc, (publisher of DownEast magazine since 1977) Graduate of University of Maine holding BA, MBA, PhD degrees. Former CBS,Inc. Vice President. President Emeritus Farnsworth Museum, University of Maine Board of Visitors and a number of local boards and organizations, most recently became a hospice volunteer at the new Sussman House at PBMC. This is his second time as a Sea Goddess judge, his first roughly fifteen years ago.

Dr. Eric J. Hebert

Dr. Eric J. Hebert is an Optometrist, and has been practicing in Rockland for nearly 27 years. He is a graduate of Rockland District High School, and went on to earn degrees from Bowdoin College and the New England College of Optometry. He has served his profession in several capacities including serving as President of the Maine Optometric Association. He recently returned to their Board, and is currently the Secretary/Treasurer. Dr. Hebert is also very active
in the community having served on several boards and committees including nine years on the Rockland City Council. He is also a Rotarian, and is currently their Sergeant-at-Arms. A long time volunteer of the Lobster Festival, Dr. Hebert has previously Emceed the Coronation, and in 2010 was a Coronation Judge. He lives in Rockland with his wife Donna and son Tristan.

Susan Kelly, RN, LA owner & operator of Skin Klinic & Day Spa, Rockland.
Was a valuable member of our Coronation Committee for several years,
and the 1972 Maine Sea Goddess.

2015 Crown Bearer

Abby Kopishke

Abby Kopishke is five years old and will be entering kindergarten at Walker School in Liberty, Maine, in the fall. Abby enjoys singing, drawing, and dancing. She recently performed as a dancing sheep in her FIRST dance recital with the Rockport Dance Conservatory. Abby lives in South Liberty with her father, mother, and twin brother, Tanner. This summer Abigail is excited to swim at her family’s camp on Lake St. George, ride her two wheeled bike, and go to
Storyland with her family.
