Blue Hill Village Mittens To Toys

Blue Hill, Maine - The Blue Hill Village Mitten Project is looking for knitters! Volunteers are invited by the Friends of the Blue Hill Public Library to knit mittens from a Latvian-based design by Friends volunteer Marjorie Yesley, and to show them in an exhibit at the Blue Hill Public Library this fall.  And if the volunteers are willing, the mittens will be offered for sale at the exhibit, with the money raised going to buy holiday gifts for local children in need.

To help knitters with the project, knitting sessions have been set up at the Library where questions will be answered and help offered on Thursdays, June 25, July 16 & 30 and August 13 & 27 -6:30- 8 PM .  For the pattern and more information please check: http://www.bluehill.lib.me.us/mittens.html, or call the Library at 374-5515.  Please bring any finished mittens to be photographed.
