"Library to Develop Regional Volunteer Database"

Rockland, Maine - The Rockland Public Library is developing a database of volunteer opportunities in the greater Rockland area, and eventually encompassing Knox County, for citizens of all ages; we are seeking the assistance of organizations and entities in need of volunteers. We ask that you please provide the following:  organization name, contact information (address, phone number, email address), website, name of volunteer coordinator or contact person, description of volunteer opportunities available, age requirements, and a brief description of your organization.  Please send this information to Patty King at pking@ci.rockland.me.us or call the library at 594-0310. The Library’s goal is to complete this by February 1 and debut it on the library website (www.rocklandlibrary.org), so organizations are encouraged to send information no later than December 20th.
