"Clearly this is no accident," said Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) Commissioner George Gervais. "What you are seeing is the direct result of three years of hard work and positive reforms. Under the leadership of Governor Paul LePage, Maine is moving forward with lower taxes, responsible fiscal accountability, and a can-do-attitude that the private sector welcomes and is responding positively."
As a result, more Mainers are back to work today in good paying, private sector jobs. Governor LePage's team of Business Account Executives at DECD continues to work with businesses looking to either expand or relocate here in Maine.
"Governor LePage will undoubtedly keep fighting to make Maine as competitive as possible for new private investment and job creation," said Gervais. "It's great to see more Mainers back to work."
