Sea Princesses Help Set Up For Maine Lobster Festival

Rockland, Maine-With less than a week to go to opening day for the 66th Maine Lobster Festival the public landing in Rockland Maine is a buzz with activity and our friends the Sea Princesses are helping.  Each of the girls are volunteering their time to help make this years Lobster Festival the most exciting event on the coast of Maine this year.  The festival wouldn't happen each year without our more than 1,000 volunteers. Our volunteers come from our local community and all over the country. Learn how you can volunteer and earn one of our highly coveted Maine Lobster Festival volunteer T-shirts!

What do you get when you mix the world’s greatest lobster cooker, 20,000 pounds of lobster, a sea goddess coronation, a big parade, top notch entertainment, an international crate race, fine art, talented crafts people and vendors, cooking contests, marine tent and MORE?!

One of the great highlights of the festival features eighteen young women from the local midcoast area vying for the Sea Goddess crown, scholarships, and prizes. The Maine Sea Goddess represents the Maine Lobster Festival, the lobster industry, and Rockland, Maine for the year with appearances at other events and associations throughout New England.
