Continuing its rapid expansion, the Maine based company is renovating a historical building in Rockland, to house growing team
Rockland, Maine – Dream Local Digital, a Maine based digital marketing agency specializing in interactive media, content marketing, SEO and social media, continues its rapid expansion plans, moving out of its current space and renovating a historic building on Rockland’s Main Street. This new location will serve as the company’s headquarters, housing its local team and providing space for visiting team members.
Originally built for The Courier-Gazette, a weekly newspaper established in Rockland in 1846, the building served as its headquarters starting in 1924, and for many decades thereafter. The building was also home to Kelsey’s Appliances, but has been vacant for several years.
Staying in the heart of downtown Rockland, along with the opportunity to carry on the building’s rich history, were very important aspects in the company’s decision, reflected in the investment they are making in the renovation to bring this building back to life.

This new space will serve as the company’s headquarters and will support the long-term growth of the team. Renovations are currently in full swing — the first floor is being cleared and rebuilt with a December move-in date, and the second floor, while remaining somewhat intact, is being customized, finished and painted, to enable a mid-August move-in date. Throughout the construction, it has been important to the Dream Local Digital team to maintain the character of the original building and to preserve as many historical relics as possible, for reuse in the new space. The second floor, comprising of various unique rooms, will serve as a temporary space for the whole team, until the first floor is completed. At that time, the company will occupy both floors, looking to fill the space over the next year or so.
The company will celebrate the new space by hosting the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours August 14, and will also host an official ribbon cutting with the Rockland Main Street organization.
