Thursday, July 25

The Midcoast Brass Quintet returns to the Camden Amphitheatre for a performance as part of the Camden Public Library’s Summer Music Series, 7:00 pm. Free, bring blankets or chairs for seating. Presented with support from The First.


Friday, July 26

Camden Walking Tour, 4:00 pm, hosted by the Camden Public Library and the Camden Downtown Business Group. The tour begins at the library, call 236-3440 to register.


Monday, July 29

Free Monday Night Movie in the Park, 8:15 pm in the Camden Amphitheatre. “Holes” (PG, 117 min.), presented by the Camden Public Library with support from The First. Bring blankets or chairs for seating.


Tuesday, July 30

“Who Were the Nearings? Living the Good Life in the 21st Century,” an illustrated lecture by Greg Joly, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Joly is chair of the board of the Good Life Center in Harborside.


Thursday, August 1

Free concert with Cindy Kallet and Grey Larsen at the Camden Amphitheatre, 7:00 pm. Part of the Camden Public Library’s Summer Music Series, presented with support from Allen Insurance & Financial. Bring blankets or chairs for seating. The concert will be indoors in the case of rain.

Monday, August 5

“Our Longest War: The Impact of America’s War on Terror in Afghanistan,” presented by Dr. Jake Donaldson, of Voices for Creative Nonviolence, a report of his recent visit to Afghanistan. 2:00 pm at the Camden Public Library.

Free Monday Night Movie in the Park, “The Sting,” 8:15 pm in the Camden Amphitheatre. (PG, 129 min.), presented by the Camden Public Library, presented with support from Allen Insurance & Financial. Bring blankets or chairs for seating.


Tuesday, August 6

Low tide beach walk at the head of Camden Harbor led by Diann Henderson, student in the Maine Master Naturalist Program. Meet in the Camden Public Library at 4:00 pm for a short introduction followed by an interactive walk at low tide (wear  shoes or boots suitable for mud!).

Reception at the Camden Public Library for Artist of the Month Sue Reed, 6:00 pm. All are welcome. Reed’s “Woman on Fire Designs” features paintings of multiple layers, colors, patterns, and media.


Wednesday, August 7

Midcoast Stroke Support Group meets at 10:00 am at the Camden Public Library. All are welcome.


Thursday, August 8

Free concert featuring the Pollock String Quartet, recent graduates of the Eastman School of Music, 7:00 pm at the Camden Amphitheatre. Bring blankets or chairs for seating. The concert will be indoors in the case of rain. The concert is free but donations will be appreciated.
