Author Event: Arthritis Revolution

Blue Hill, Maine - Dr. Lou Pack will talk about his book, Arthritis Revolution: Latest Research on Staying Active Without Pain Medication or Surgery at the Blue Hill Public Library on Tuesday, July 9th at 7:00 PM. Dr. Pack practices medicine in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area and spends part of the summer in Blue Hill.

The book was prompted by Dr. Pack’s ambition to educate arthritis sufferers and teach other physicians what they can do to help their patients.  Over 40 years of surgical and clinical experience and five years of writing and research have gone into the book.   According to Dr. Pack, current treatment protocols for osteoarthritis do nothing to prevent or stop this disease and it is now the number one cause of pain and disability in America. This book is intended for people who want to prevent arthritis, as well as stop its progression, decrease painful symptoms (often without medications or surgery), and improve their levels of activity or sports performance.

This event is sponsored by the Blue Hill Public Library. There is no charge, and everyone is welcome. Books will be available for sale and signing and Dr. Pack will be available to answer individual questions as time allows.  For more information, call the Library at 374-5515.
