UNIVERSITY COLLEGE AT ROCKLAND OFFERS WIDE SELECTION OF BUSINESS PROGRAMS

Rockland, Maine - According to a 2012 report from industry analysis firm IBISWorld, business graduates have the most positive job outlook through 2017 because they are most likely to work in industries where above-average job and wage growth are expected. University College at Rockland offers a growing variety of business degree and certificate programs from the campuses of the University of Maine System.
Courses are taught by university faculty or are delivered via interactive television and videoconference. Many courses and programs are available entirely online.

More than 400 courses from Maine’s public universities are available at URock each semester, many of those in business and economics. Courses range from introductory level courses in business to advanced accounting. Students receive personalized support for their learning goals, including instruction on how to become a successful online learner.

“Employers look for a broad range of skill sets that they can build upon,” said Deborah Meehan, Director of University College at Rockland. “The business programs available from the UMS campuses provide students with a strong set of professional skills that would be an asset in any field.” Meehan added that many students do internships witihin their program requirements.
