Tallship Lynx tucked away from Sandy

Kingston, NY. 

Greetings all from Rondout Creek and the town of Kingston, NY. Throughout the day yesterday and continuing today we are "cocooning" Lynx's sails and "stitching" her to the dock-with additional lines accross the creek to hold us off the land if the flooding should get extreme. Happily for us we had time to get up to this "hidey hole" and are in very good compant with Belle Aventure and Justice on either side of us. When the last bit of prep is done we will stand by watch and watch and care for our ship. Our thoughts are with the crew of the Bounty who had to abandon ship last night. We are gratefull that everyone got off alright. Keep all sailors in your thoughts. Cheers Captain John.
