SAFETY CERTIFICATION COURSE for HIGH SCHOOL OUTING CLUB LEADERS

Teens To Trails offers reduced-rate Wilderness First Aid ~ Oct 26 & 27
Edgecomb, Maine - Teens To Trails is partnering with the Chewonki Foundation & Wilderness Medical Associates to offer a two-day Wilderness First Aid course at a greatly reduced price to High School Outing Club Advisors and student leaders!  This certification is perfect for new or existing high school Outing Club Advisors or those considering the start up of a new Outing Club program at their school.  Students active in Outing Clubs that are 16 years or older are welcome with parental permission.  The cost is $100 which includes a field guide, patient assessment guidebook, and the Outward Bound WFA text.  Successful participants will receive a certification card. The course is being taught by Eric Duffy who is an RN, Wilderness EMT, Registered Maine Guide, Wilderness Medical Associates Lead Instructor, T3 board member, experienced outdoorsman, and all around great guy who will make this course fun and engaging! Housing is available in Chewonki's woodstove heated yurts for an additional cost of $25/night.
