Portland, Maine - The Board of Directors at One Longfellow Square are pleased to announce the appointment of Kippy Rudy as the new Executive Director of the Portland-based nonprofit devoted to live performance and arts education.
A resident of Bath, Ms. Rudy was selected after a thorough national search conducted this summer. She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in fundraising and nonprofit arts management in Maine.
Rudy has held key positions at several major Portland arts institutions including General Manager at PORTopera, Marketing and Development Director at Portland Stage, and Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the Portland Museum of Art.
"We’re very pleased to welcome Kippy as our new ED,” says Board of Directors President Jonathan Cooper. “ She possesses a proven track record in fundraising and arts management, as well as a broad understanding of the importance of the role of art and music in the everyday lives of all Mainers. All of us here at OLS are excited about the energy Kippy brings and look forward to working together during this new stage in our development."
“One Longfellow Square has such tremendous potential,” points out Rudy. “We bring world-renowned performers to our stage and have a dedicated staff and committed core of board and volunteers. It’s an honor to be able to work with these people and to be a part of Portland’s rich musical community.”
The Board of Directors invite members of the community to welcome Ms. Rudy at a free performance on Wednesday, October 24 at 8 pm at One Longfellow Square, 181 State Street, Portland.
