Maine’s Only 2nd Annual LGBT Film Festival returns to The Grand

Ellsworth, Maine - The Grand announces the line-up for its “Sharing the Stories- the 2nd Annual Maine LGBT Film Festival” to be presented from Friday October 19th through Sunday October 21st.

Following last year’s successful "It Gets Better- Maine’s First Annual LGBT Film Festival", The Grand presents “Sharing the Stories- the 2nd Annual Maine LGBT Film Festival” running from Friday October 19th through Sunday October 21st. And, in addition to LGBT films from around the country and world (as well as speakers and panels from the local LGBT community), this year the festival will include a presentation of local storytellers from the Maine LGBT community (including the Hancock County Speaker’s Bureau) who bring to the festival their own truths. Their own struggles and triumphs. Stories as thrilling and dramatic as anything that could be brought to the big screen. Here’s the lineup and admission prices for this year’s festival:

The LGBT 2^nd Annual Film Festival is sponsored in part by the Maine Community Foundation, the DownEast Aids Network and the Make Beautiful Tribe. In addition, Mainers United for Marriage will be at The Grand for the entirety of the festival to answer questions about the “Yes on 1” campaign.

The Grand is excited to present its 2nd Annual LGBT Film Festival. Entitled “Sharing the Stories”, the festival will include a cross-section of films telling stories from across the LGBT spectrum, as well as speakers and panels. It all happens on Friday, October 19th through Sunday October 21st.
