Election Roundtable at the Blue Hill Public Library

Blue Hill, Maine - The public is invited to two free roundtable discussions about the upcoming November 6th presidential election on Wednesdays, October 24th and 31st from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Blue Hill Public Library, sponsored by the Library and Colloquy Downeast. Each roundtable will feature three panelists who will each make a brief presentation, then engage the audience in a discussion. All viewpoints are welcome but exchanges must be kept respectful.

The October 24th discussion will focus on domestic policy with panelists Tom Bjorkman, Peter Sly and Tim Thomas and the one on the 31st will be on foreign policy with Barbara Griffiths, Anne Sigmund and Courtnay Haight. Panelist backgrounds include foreign service, legal, business and politics.   Both discussions will be moderated by retired Brooklin professor Ronald J. P. Lesko.  Beginning its eleventh year, Colloquy Downeast is a non-profit volunteer organization offering a variety of topics for discussion and study, usually in the format of weekly seminars.

There is no charge to participate in the discussions but space is limited so registration is required.  Participants may register using the events calendar on the Library’s web site at www.bhpl.net or by calling the Library at 374-5515.
